Step 1 · Understand the Basics

THC vs CBD ⚖️

Two very different experiences. Same plant.

If you've looked at any cannabis product, you've seen the letters THC and CBD. They're the two most well-known cannabinoids — but they work very differently in your body.

THC

  • ✓ Creates the "high"
  • ✓ Euphoria & relaxation
  • ✓ Heightened senses
  • ✓ Increased appetite
  • ⚠ Too much = anxiety

CBD

  • ✓ No intoxication
  • ✓ Reduces anxiety
  • ✓ Supports sleep
  • ✓ Eases inflammation
  • ✓ Softens THC effects

THC — The High One

THC binds directly to receptors in your brain and can create euphoria, giggles, creativity, and drowsiness in higher doses. At the right dose it's a great experience — too much, too fast, and it can cause anxiety. Starting low matters.

CBD — The Calm One

CBD does not get you high. It works differently in the body and is great for people who are nervous about cannabis, or who don't want any intoxication. It's also one of the best tools for softening an overly intense THC experience.

Can you use them together?

Yes — and many people prefer it. Products with a 1:1 ratio (equal THC to CBD) are a popular choice for beginners because the CBD takes the edge off the THC, making the experience more balanced and less overwhelming.
